Good morning!
Today is the first day of my first week without lots and lots of Bible study work to be done in a long time. Not that I didn't enjoy the work--I absolutely did. But it was work. I added it up and realize I've been spending about 20 hours a week working on this Psalm 23 study. In addition to working with Toben, teaching the girls, and managing the rest of life--all that cooking, cleaning, laundry stuff that always has to be done.
So now that Bible study at church is done, there's some stuff to be done.
Like cleaning my closet. (The laundry has been done and folded each week. And then stacked in an ever-growing pile in the closet. I can't find anything!)
Like scheduling hair appointments for me and for Audrey.
Like sorting through the clothes in my closet that don't fit anymore. (Which is a happy thing! Though I loved some of what it now too big and am sad about that.)
Like catching up with friends who just might think I've fallen off the face of the earth. (I have received your messages and emails and have a whole happy list of people to call this week!)
Like getting caught up on our math lessons. (Oh my, are we behind! We will be doubling up on math until the end of the year for sure.)
Like getting the carpets cleaned.
Like blogging. I have a list of all the things I think of to tell you that I've just not told you. Yet. Stay tuned!
Like doing a window treatment for our bathroom.
Like learning to be still in the midst of all that's to be done and just rest. I'm really not good at that. But God is whispering to me that it's time to learn when to stop a while and be still and be quiet and just be.

And it's Monday. And we have learned all of Psalm 23 by heart. I'd have to check out curriculum to see what's up next. So go ahead and leave your link and I'll come back to let you know what we're going to learn once I find out!
I have to say that I feel more committed than ever to memorize God's Word. Part of my lesson each week for Bible study when encouraging everyone in their memorizing Psalm 23 has been to talk about WHY we memorize. I'll put them all together to share here.
In the meantime, know I'm visiting your posts even if I haven't commented. One more thing that's one the list now that Bible study is over is to start commenting again on the blogs I read. I really don't want to be a lurker anymore!
Hey there. Glad you are "back" :) Missed you.
Can't wait to hear all you have to tell us!
Hugs...
Susan

I look forward to hear what you have to share, too! I know it will be encouraging.
I'm going to be memorizing in Proverbs 4 for awhile. Here's today's post:

The girls and I will be memorizing Hebrews 12:1-13 for the next few weeks until we're done with school. So this week we're doing verses 1-3.

Feel free to send me your clothes that don't fit. :)

Whew! Sounds like you need a few naps scheduled into your days -- or least that's how I have felt recently after slowing down after a long haul --- out of town trips, lots of out of town company, homeschooling, writing, being a wife, etc... And I can relate about needing to double up on math. It seems we always spend a lot of the spring time working in math books!

Kathleen: I know! Luckily nothing on that list needs to be done immediately. It's just my "when I get to it" list. Except for the math. We've got to do that every day.
It is hard to change gears when I've been going so fast and hard for so long. But I'm praying that God would help slow me down and tell me when I just need to sit still and breathe.
Marla: ;) Maybe you should just come for another visit!
Thanks, Rhonda. :)
