I didn't mean to be away so long! I have lots swirling around in my head that I want to share and just need to sit down and get it out. Not just to share with you, but to clarify some of it for myself. Does that make sense?
Part of the reason I love blogging is the chance to sort things out in my own mind!
Okay, Memory Monday:
Psalm 103:1-7
Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits--
who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The LORD works righteous
and justice for all the oppressed.
He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:
I'm not so sure about punctuation on this since we've really been working on learning verses and reciting them. We've talked so much about expression and tone of voice and gestures that it's been really fun.
For next week, we'll be learning through verse 11.
Leave your verse or link below. And if you've thought about joining us, there's no time like the present! Click on the Memory Monday button on the right-hand sidebar for all the information you'll need.
And just a quick shout out and "WELL DONE!" to all of you who are so faithful with this each week. I know that hiding God's Word in your heart is making a difference. I'm sure that God is using it in your daily life and I'd love to hear how. There's nothing like a little accountability to keep me motivated! And nothing like God bringing a verse to mind in the midst of a need--whether for wisdom or encouragement.
I've been so reminded these past couple of weeks to FORGET NOT all his benefits as Psalm 103 says. I've been struggling with my focus lately--wanting to keep my eyes on what's wrong rather than what's right. And God has been gently reminding me of where my focus should be through this passage.
Love you all and praying for a great start to your week!
Joanne
I've got my post up, but my blog is down temporarily. Hope it is back up sometime today. I have someone redesigning my ministry site and blog. I'll let you know when my blog is up.
I look forward to reading yours and everyone else's posts today.
Take care,
Karen

Got mine up on the right day this time.. I've been behind this summer. Doing this helps in so many ways, but especially in parenting two toddlers. Great reminder about focus... the 'daily' junk is easy to cling to, but God is faithful and GOOD.
Have a great week!

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be throughly equipped for every good work.
It's our first week...My kids also memorized the same one...next week we'll do Titus 3:1 together since it goes with the Bible Study we are doing together

Thanks for hosting this, Joanne; it's made a difference in my life to have accountability in my life.

While me and the kids were on vacation at my parents house I "escaped" and spent more time on the computer. I used some of that time to change the look of my blog and also to set up my new Bible Study blog. Unfortunately I was not doing a whole lot of memorizing - however, I did enjoy being home watching my parents spoil my kids! That time with them is truly a blessing!!!

It's been awhile for me, and it has been something I've missed doing. I've posted the one I will be working on for next week.
