It's good to be back home again--even if we did come home to a yard full of snow (have you noticed it is a four-letter word?!!) and huge piles of the awful stuff down the middle of the street! Thankfully, the stuff has melted and the grass that was buried underneath is lovely and green. (And to top it off our daffodils are blooming under the tree in the front yard!) The golf course in the backyard looks beautiful and the golfers seem to agree as they've been passing by in a steady parade in the 60ish-degree sunshine. Of course, I'd really love another 20 or 30 degrees tacked onto that--our time in the desert reinforced the fact that I am a hot-weather girl and am happiest when it's pushing the mid-90s and there is a chaise with my name on it at the pool!
The forecast for this week isn't too bad though I'll be getting some more wear out of my favorite sweaters before next winter since I still feel cold in the 50s and 60s--especially with some cloudy rain mixed in to the forecast.
We were all happy to be back at our church this morning. Dad and I missed our Sunday school class while we were gone and it was great to catch up with our group of middle schoolers during the Sunday school hour today! They are the best group of kids and I love them all a bunch.
We are hanging out here at home for a few more hours before going to my sister's house for an early dinner at 5:30. I saw my sweet niece, Ava, yesterday at her volleyball game, but I haven't seen the boys since we got home on Tuesday afternoon. I have some Tyson and Levi hugs coming my way!
I'm jumping back into my usual busy week schedule tomorrow morning. I'll be back at the stroke center for my art group and I can't wait to see everyone. I have a haircut tomorrow afternoon and after 6-7 weeks, I am super desperate for a cut! My hair grows faster now than it ever has and it is way too long at the moment. Super short pixie coming up! On Tuesday morning I'll be back to my PT group, followed by a massage (hallelujah!) with my friend and masseuse, Brooke. She is the best and I'm excited for her to work on my shoulder. (My left shoulder has subluxation from the stroke and it's been hurting quite a bit since we got home. It did pretty well in Arizona since the warm weather helps it stay loose.)
Mom and I missed Spring Bible study at Cherry Creek Presbyterian, but we will go to the Spring Brunch on Thursday morning anyway.
All in all, it's good to be home and it will be fun to catch up and reconnect this week.
Love to all and happy Spring!
