What is living simply?

  • Living simply is not so much about the particulars of our lives as much as it is about the principles that govern them. Knowing what God has called you to do, and then doing it--that's living simply.

I'd rather have visitors to be scheduled. I have a thing with always having a plan. I wish I lived closer to you so I could sit down and talk about homeschooling with you.

I do love having company, but I don't prefer to have pop-in company. With a 5 yr old who drags all of his things out of his room and into every other room of the house, I would rather have a bit of time to straighten up!

I like to have visitors scheduled. Now that I'm a momma and a wife, it's impossible to keep the house looking decent. And I am always in sweats and without makeup when I'm home, so I'd prefer to know when someone will be seeing me!

I love having visitors... even if they just pop in (okay a 5 minute warning is nice to do a quick pick-up). I figure my friends can see my house looking great or looking lived-in... it's their choice!
