Think I mentioned that it was time for a new schedule around here. So I made a pretty one, put it on the fridge, and we've been following it for the most part. School, chores, and work--all that stuff.
Of course, there's some tweaking (always makes me think of "You've Got Mail" to use that word!) that's going on. Because somehow something always gets left out. Or just flat out doesn't work.
Part of the new schedule has been to stay off the computer first thing in the early morning so my quiet time stays my quiet time and so I get out the door to run rather than spending an hour or more catching up on Facebook, reading posts in my Google reader, surfing the web, and whatnot. I hadn't been getting in the shower until 11 some days and it made me feel like my day never started and like I was behind all the time--even though I'd been up and busy for hours.
So this is working great and my mornings are going much more smoothly.
Only problem? Morning is when I tend to blog. And, well, that obviously hasn't happened much this week. And I miss it!
So I'm popping in to say hi despite it being still early morning. And I'm off to go run and figure out some options while I do.
That's the thing about schedules. They're totally helpful and I love them. Lists, schedules, calendars--so my thing!
But I have to constantly remind myself that they're not set in stone. Try it, see what works, try something else.
