I know it's been quiet around here. It's been quiet here at home too.
I am a word girl. I love words. And I realize that sometimes I don't know when to stop using words. Someone told me yesterday, "It must be really full in your head." She's right.
I'm seeking more balance--between my head and heart, my thoughts and my feelings. And so I'm being quiet and still on purpose. To see what the silence brings, to listen carefully to the words of others, to let my heart have a chance to speak, to wait for his voice.
Quieting my mouth is easier than quieting my thoughts. I'm reminding myself it's not a contest, I'm not in a hurry, I'm learning a new practice. And so it takes time and, well, practice.
What helps you be quiet?
