But I just have to come and say that on my run yesterday I RAN THE WHOLE WAY WITHOUT STOPPING!
And it's funny, because it felt good--until the end was close and in sight. Then it was hard to catch my breath, hard to keep going. Suddenly my legs felt like jello and I wanted to quit. Why is that? Why do I want to stop when I can SEE the end?
I saw this clip from Facing the Giants the other day and it's been on my mind. I know it's long, but it is so good--take the time to watch it.
Here's my thought: So often, we think it's hard to walk by faith; we long to walk by sight. We beg to walk by sight. If only God would show us the big picture, we think.
But God knows that we can go further by faith than we can by sight.
I don't know what you're facing today, what you're taking on faith. But I do know this, walking by faith just may get you further than if you could really see.
Hang in there. Keep going. Give it all you've got.
