So many of you have responded and said you'd like to be part of a Spiritual Mothering book discussion/group/club/thing-y! I can't tell you how excited I am.
In case more people want to join, I'm going to give it another day or two before going any further. (But go ahead and order the book if you want. Amazon has it here.) And I'll be thinking a little more about the best way to proceed. If you have any specific ideas, send me a quick email or leave a comment.
I actually got up sort of early this morning--before six--and it felt so great. I've just not been my usual 5 a.m. self since we moved here. I've been more of a 6:30 kind of a girl. Part of that is staying up later, and part of it is not having to get up. But I miss having such a huge block of time all to myself before the day gets going too much.
Audrey comes home tonight (and that means my mom is coming back too!) and I'm just so excited. I've missed her! Them!
(Emma loved being an only child until Saturday afternoon. Then she decided that her life is boring without Audrey and that things are definitely better and more fun with a big sister around. Makes me so happy!)
So Emma and I are going to clean house and make some ice cream snowballs for a treat (more on that later!) and do whatever else we find to do before they come home tonight.
We spent most of yesterday at the pool and I just have to say that I could float on a floatey all the day long. I think it may be my new favorite thing. That and drippy castles. See?
(Look, we had the whole thing to ourselves!)
I first remember making drippy castles on the Gulf of Mexico, the year we lived in Alabama. We stayed in these little trailers on the beach surrounded by huge trees dripping in Spanish moss. I remember being able to walk waaaay out in the water and having it only come up to my knees. And sitting in the sand making drippy castles with my mom forever. And making friendship pins in the trailer when it rained. And necklaces with tiny beads in rainbow patters. Mom still has those necklaces from that trip!
And it goes without saying that Emma's always a favorite!
