What is living simply?

  • Living simply is not so much about the particulars of our lives as much as it is about the principles that govern them. Knowing what God has called you to do, and then doing it--that's living simply.

Yum!! We LOVE homemade iced tea in our house too-with sugar and lemon, of course!

I have a friend who grew chocolate mint in her garden this year and added that to iced tea she served us recently. It was YUMMY!!

Enjoy and stay cool!

I have that jar from Walmart...what a great use for it! I love sun tea and so do my kids. Love, love, love your blog and actually have followed it for awhile. I just don't have a lot to say. Your move has absolutely fascinated me. I think it's very brave.

Pretty jar and I enjoy iced tea!
A friend of mine got a jar that looked a lot like yours at Sams... only it has a spout on the bottom to serve the beverage.... It is also plastic... I like yours... you can use it for a TON of things!!!!

A half cup of sugar for two gallons of tea? Oh my....granny would be horrified. She taught me to make tea a little on the syrupy side. Two cups of sugar to one gallon. Now that's some sweet tea! Of course she was born in Mississippi so that has a little something to do with it.

LOVE sweet tea! I usually make mine with 3/4 cup sugar for 2 quarts. I use the gallon sized tea bag (yes, for 2 quarts) and add some really hot water! My favorite thing to drink!

My mom used to make "sun tea" every day & we would have it with dinner. Not sure how much sugar she added, but it was sweet. I remember going outside when we lived in TN & looking for mint to add to it... ;)

Hey, I just stumbled onto this family's blog & I sent her your web address. They are in your area & are having difficulties. So if you hear from her, you know where it came from... http://thestaley7.blogspot.com/

Hope you are enjoying your new adventure!

I'll have to try this...yum!

I love mint tea...yummy!

I can't believe they actually spit it out the tea.

I love mint tea, green tea, etc, etc. I don't use sugar (unless company requests it). Instead, I use honey. I have figured out lots of great tasting tea drinks by trial and error (that's one for Audrey and Emma to try!) And especially like figuring out Starbucks tea drinks so that I don't have to pay their prices. So good so far.

And by the way, love that glass jar. I saw one at Bed Bath and Beyond with a spigot and thought about picking one up. Hmmm.... you got my wheels turning now.

buy lipton tea

Wow! i am getting thirsty i wanna drink this,i love iced tea so much.
