Because you asked, here are a few pictures of the new house!
It's pretty small--three bedrooms, two baths, kitchen with a tiny nook, laundry room, and this living/dining/great room. (Somehow it looks like a lovely yellow here, but I think it was really all just a creamy white.)
This is looking the other direction from the sliding glass doors toward the front door. The kitchen is tucked back into that corner on the right.
And to the left of Emma is the hallway to the girls' rooms and bathroom. Our room and bathroom are right on the other side of the build-in on the left. You can see it better in this picture.
Here are the girls' rooms. Right next to each other and exactly the same, just mirror-images of each other. Their bathroom is to the left of the picture.
The backyard is all rock and patio. I'm guessing we'll avoid it in July, but come October, it'll be great! Our bedroom also opens onto the patio.
And that's the whole thing!
I woke up super early this morning, making lists in my mind of what to bring, what to buy, what to do without, what we can't do without. Think it's time to grab some paper and get it down in ink!
I've loved reading what you all had to say about what you need to make a house a home. Family photos and kitchen stuff are topping the list!
Congratulations! It's going to be great. Hugs.

What a great house - and all without spending any funds above your allowance, and (from what you've told us) in a super-fabulous community!
If you don't already, keep a small notebook in your purse. As you begin finalizing plans, you'll think of miscellaneous "things" that you can jot down as they come to you. In the throws of a move, these ideas will disappear in the fray if not jotted down. Sound like I'm speaking from experience? Yep!
Thanks for taking the time to post these pictures for us.
Blessings!

So fun to see where you'll be living for the next year--it looks like a really cute place and the community sounds great! Sorry it's so stinkin' hot here right now--it's definitely well above average for May. We're praying for rain this weekend. Also, hope things are going better with Audrey--thanks for being so real with that. I feel like I go through the same cycles with my oldest and it's nice to hear a mom I respect so much going through the same thing.

Just a note to say that I'm praying for you, Joanne, and for Toben and the girls as well. Your new home looks lovely and spacious to me. But then, we're used to living in about 1,200 square feet, if you include the unfinished part of the basement. Seeing the beauty of your current home, and reading about all of your creative projects and ideas, I know that you will make this new home sweet and home-y in just a short time. May the Lord richly bless this year in Arizona together as you seek to follow His lead.

It looks like a great home and a great community for a family. How wonderful you will be together as a family. I look forward to seeing how warm and cozy you make this home.

It's very pretty! It looks very open even if it is a little small. I like the way the kitchen is open to the living room. You won't be hidden away from the rest of your family while you cook! The back patio is nice too. At least you won't have to mow!

You and I clearly have a different idea of "small" ~ it looks WONDERFUL and spacious to me!! It will feel like home in no time, and I look forward to more pictures as you personalize each space.

It is great to see the new place. keeping you all in my prayers on your new exciting journey. Only in America would a 3 bedroom house be small.
