What is living simply?

  • Living simply is not so much about the particulars of our lives as much as it is about the principles that govern them. Knowing what God has called you to do, and then doing it--that's living simply.

Good morning Joanne! I'm a visual learner too and do many of the same learning aids to help remember my verses.

My post is up!

I'm here this week too!!

I love the thoughts on comfort!! Thank you so much for sharing these! I used to be great at cards, etc, but have really slacked. I need to get back on the horse!

The rain is pounding my windows here and I'm thankful to be inside, warm and safe!

I received comfort in the form of a phone call last week from my dearest friend. Every time I talk to her I just feel better. Sometimes it's not what she says, it's just that she listens and loves me no matter what:)

Mine is up too! It's the one I'm memorizing this week, I already got it done this morning! I picked an easy one for this week because I'm still working on last week's too!

Thank you for the encouragement!!

My verses are posted. Thanks for the reminder on comforting others - it's something that I always intentions on doing, just don't follow through like I should.

Awesome advice! I am guilty of many times not knowing what to do or say and I miss the oppurtunity :(.

Wonderful thoughts on your verse this week.

This is a great discipline for my whole family- we are all learning so much! Thanks for getting us into gear!

I love that you're memorizing, too. I joined in with The Siestas at Beth Moore's blog, and am working on memorizing Proverbs 31:10-31. I'm up to verse 13. Keep up the good work, and thanks for this "comfort" post. Most of my comfort of late has been from the Holy Spirit.

Thanks for the reminders on comfort. My husband and I have learned from our own difficult times of trials that later on, when someone else is having a hard time to not say, "Let me know if I can do anything", but instead, to just do something. I think that joke is right. If women had gone with the wisemen to see Baby Jesus, they would have stayed to clean the stable and brought a lasagna to put in the freezer.

My post is up.

Thanks for your words on comfort. I could really use some of that right now.
