What is living simply?

  • Living simply is not so much about the particulars of our lives as much as it is about the principles that govern them. Knowing what God has called you to do, and then doing it--that's living simply.

Oh Joanne...my NYR list was different this year because I am not up for a typical make and break resolution list. I wrote down things like guard the words of my mouth, and make time for daily positive confessions (and other positive biblical things that I generally struggle with).
I'm actually going to use the Psalm verses for my next memorization.
How great and refreshing this post was...you rock!

Man, God is really using you to speak to me on all these economy posts - and then this one - ughh (in a good way)! So good and so true. Thanks for being obedient in sharing these with us - they are really great!

Becca

Very good post!

WOW!!! Good stuff! It kinda stings, but in a good way ... a good "2X4 to the head" kinda way!

Joanne,

I think this is a wonderful post--I wish everyone could read it and take it to heart this year! My husband pastors a small church (less than 50 people) and I would love to share it with them. Would that be possible?

Thank you for your blog. It's a great little place to get inspiration, encouragement and to get my head straight.

What a wonderful post. I am printing it out so I can always be reminded.

I loved this post on the economy of words. I'm going to write your list of questions down to help me. Good luck with your test tomorrow. I'll say a prayer for you! Missi
