What is living simply?

  • Living simply is not so much about the particulars of our lives as much as it is about the principles that govern them. Knowing what God has called you to do, and then doing it--that's living simply.

That sounds like a wonderful fall idea.

A fall tradition was started a few years ago with several of my girlfriends. Despite the fact that we have a small outlet mall nearby, we load up and head about an hour away to a huge outlet mall and spend the entire day there. We start with a breakfast out (locally - and we eat large as we skip lunch), make the drive, shop all day (getting a jump on the Christmas shopping) have an early dinner (beating the usual dinner crowd), shop some more until the stores close and we're asked to leave, find a place to have dessert and coffee, then make the drive home - usually after our families are already in bed.

Girlfriend traditions are a very good thing! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Fall Fest sounds like so much fun. I love the fabric flowers. I am going to need some to add to a project that I am making as Christmas gifts this year. I saw that Janna had a link to the tutorial on her blog. Have fun!
