What is living simply?

  • Living simply is not so much about the particulars of our lives as much as it is about the principles that govern them. Knowing what God has called you to do, and then doing it--that's living simply.

Wow...I know you did a lot of gardening projects this summer but did you happen to pour some Miracle Gro on your girls...they look so tall and grown up and lovely!

We don't start school until after Labor Day and for me with a late August birthday...that would be hard to be in school already...plus we are having the opposite weather that you are...we are working on the second of three days of temps in the 100's doesn't happen that often here in Portland...

Blessings to you as you begin this school year...new beginnings always hold such promise and freshness!

Wow, Joanne! They ARE grown up! And crazy beautiful! And I'm drooling over the description of your school. I've never heard of anything like it. WOW!!

Diane

They are the cutest! They look so happy too! There's nothing quite like sisterly-love. Hope the school year is great for them.

Susan

They totally grew over the summer. And look...they're pretending to like each other again. Yay!

Hugs and blessings sweet friend.

Your girls are beautiful!

You are so blessed to have such an amazing Christian school to send your girls to. I know that you are so thankful every single day for that amazing gift.

I also was going to let you know that I'm starting "Living Simply." My friend Stephanie had won it from Meredith in one of Meredith's book give-aways. I begged her for it after she was done, so she handed it to me at church Sunday! I'm so excited to get started reading it! I still am amazed at what a small world this is!!

Gretchen

Beautiful girls and darling outfits. Sometimes it's so hard to find age-appropriate stuff which is affordable and cute.

Your girls look so cute! It's so nice to see young girls dressed cute and stylish but still look like young girls! The middle school where I teach is starting uniforms this year and I can't wait to go to work and see my students actually dressed age-appropriately!

Stephanie

Amber and I were talking today at lunch about how neat the school sounds. We don't have anything like that here unless we were to drive at least an hour.

School starts tomorrow for us and I'll be doing the same as you....cleaning...my 3 yr old is excited to help...in fact she's cleaning the kitchen table now.

Love the dress...did you make it? I've been eyeing the fabric and debating on whether to get it to make some dresses.

Hope you had a good weekend!

Jessica

Boy are they ever! I'll say again, they are beautiful. (I think I must say that every time I see their pics, but if you're anything like me, you love hearing it every time ;-))
