What is living simply?

  • Living simply is not so much about the particulars of our lives as much as it is about the principles that govern them. Knowing what God has called you to do, and then doing it--that's living simply.

I am totally impressed! They look great!

I just scrolled down and saw your link to the hair blog. THANK YOU! I have 2 small girls and one is growing out her bangs right now - UGH!

Looks comfy! And the sheet you chose is really nice! Awesome!

Those are cute! I may have to make myself some!

They are SO cute! I love the fabric! I am so envious of your sewing abilities! I never learned...keep saying I need to :)

great job on pants! I was with chris when she made hers and have been inspired myself. btw, she gave me Living Simply for Christmas and it has been a wonderful read, it really inspired me to slow down and enjoy the important things, thank you for that.

miss chris

Ha! Those are adorable. So glad that I could turn the tables and inspire *you*, my dear. Enjoy. xoxo

Very cute...I've got a pattern similar but can't get inspired...maybe this will inspire me.

You're flat-out amazing.

wow! those are great! I LOVE that your sheets are reincarnated. i have a few things i've been holding on to that could use a new purpose. and i also know what you mean about making notes, and i sew for a living! i can alter something i make regularly, then i go for 4 months without making it and i'm right back doing it the old way, kicking myself! i can't wait to have a proper studio where i can make sense of it all.
cozy pants would make great gifts! i find folks love handmade, the extra time, the extra thought.....

oh! i forgot! i also instilled the birthday book idea from Living Simply. I love it! and i kept it real simple so i won't get scared of it in the future. it didn't quite have the effect i wanted it to have, yesterday for gracie's 3rd birthday though. she just kept saying NO! when i would tell her that the baby in the picture was her. she was insisting that she was a big girl and that there was now way that baby was her. maybe next year she'll get it..... jackson was way more excited about it :-)

Cute! Love that fabric.
