What is living simply?

  • Living simply is not so much about the particulars of our lives as much as it is about the principles that govern them. Knowing what God has called you to do, and then doing it--that's living simply.

Those sandwiches look wonderful! And the okra pickles sound interesting... and I'm from Texas! Did you get them here in Colorado?

Linda

Yummmy! It sounds and looks delicious. I'm a sandwich person too - but a sandwich without potato chips just isn't complete!

Sara

I'll try that recipe. It does look like a good sandwhich. Oh yes.. I agree that other people make better sandwhiches than I do.

Leslie

yum, that looks like something I would order out for lunch. Great idea

Linda

I can't take food pictures well at all! The sandwich looks yummy, though! I just saw your tutorial for putting your hair in a bun. I had no idea! I did learn once from a street vendor in Taiwan how to put it up with a chopstick. :o) I've used that method when I'm in a bind and all I have is a pencil. :o)

I am here to testify that Joanne's bagel sandwiches ARE the best! I've tried to replicate them at home--but of course they taste better when she makes them. I especially love the toasted/salted sunflower seeds and find myself putting them on ALL sandwiches these days! And, the pickled okra...I sampled this first at Joanne's house and am completely hooked now! I love them more than pickles, but they are a bit pricier.

This looks great especially for summer. My husband is a Boulder native. :) Can you ellaborate on the reading at breakfast, I love going a little further in that arena this summer. Come join my giveaway too. ;) Warmly, CarolinaMama

I love sprouts. I love to say sprouts, too!

The only thing I worry about is that little salmonella sprout scare a few years ago. So I always pray over my sprouts.

Lord, please protect my sprouts, sprouts, sprouts, 'cause I love them. :)

Luke would absolutely love this .... and that darlin' skirt you made makes me want to drag out my sewing machine from the deep caverns under my bed. :)
