What is living simply?

  • Living simply is not so much about the particulars of our lives as much as it is about the principles that govern them. Knowing what God has called you to do, and then doing it--that's living simply.

Father, I lift our sweet Joanne up to You this evening so that she may rest. Bless her with the rest that only comes from You. Father, I pray Your blessing on her tomorrow as she speaks of the things that You have revealed to her. Fill her with Your Spirit, Father and open the hearts of those listening so that they hear Your word.

I pray that you are with Joanne and Toben and the girls as they strive to get all done that needs to be done and that You are guding them, helping them, encouraging them.

Bless them with a great trip and bring them home safely.

In the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Father God, thank you for our friend Joanne and for her sweet, sweet spirit. Grant her a restful night and a Spirit filled day tomorrow knowing all her friends, flung afar, hold her up in their prayers. Amen and Amen.

Laura W.

Praying for you...praying that you will have all the time you need to get everything finished...that you have restful sleep tonight, and for a wonderful, and safe trip.

Marla Taviano

Prayed for you just now! It's snowing here, and my speaking engagement will probably be canceled for tomorrow. God's gentle way of telling me my week was too packed.

Livi checked her e-mail for the first time in a few weeks tonight and was excited to have an e-mail in her inbox from Audrey. She wrote her back. :)

Hugs, friend!

Holly B.

I too, prayed for you just now to be filled with God's rest and peace! Would love to hear some of the thoughts you planned to share with the group--when you are able. So did you make your 8 PM bedtime? Hope so!

Puva

All will be well. Don't worry!

I sleep waaayyy past 8 PM. And wake up at 6:45 AM now that I have a temporary job. Maybe I should try 5:30...

Teri H

How cool! You are coming up my way! I'll be praying for you this morning!

Karen

I hope that you were able to get to bed by 8, Joanne. I've been trying to have an earlier bedtime, too. I've been getting up at 6, and I miss having the time that I had in the morning when I got up at 5:30. But I also realize that I need enough sleep to function well at work and home...May the Lord give you all that you need this week with times of rest, times of productivity, times of fun with your family, and most of all times of joy in Him...I wish I could hear your thoughts on marriage. God is so good!

Let us know how it goes! Girl, you've got your Jesus on...that's for sure!

I'm going to be speaking about pursuing peace & simplicity in the next few weeks...could use some input from you.

Holly Smith

Definately praying for you today and this week friend!

Love you much in Him,
holly

PS Get some rest and have a wonderful time!

Priti
